I believe this is my first deal post so please be gentle. I did a search and couldn’t find this so wanted to share the wealth.

I just picked up a Toshiba Qosmio F55-Q502 on clearance at Bestbuy for $741.99. It has a regular price of $1399.99. Beware I went to one store and they only had the display at that price and no others in stock. The second store was the same things BUT the open box display was $1183.99. :0 The third store Fairfield, CA had two new and one open box. The new ones were $741.99 and the open box was $649.99.

Smoking deal if you ask me (who bought this monitor for $550…)

This monitor is of course a TN. The screen quality is not bad for a budget TN. In most people’s opinion, including my own, the monitor is decent once properly calibrated (which can be difficult) and viewed head on. Horizontal view angle is not too bad but vertical view angles are not too good IMO. I thought the color on this monitor was horrible until I plugged it into a macbook and it looked amazing (Vibrant colors, high contrast, reasonably dark blacks). I realized it needed a lot of calibration on the windows view (Radeon 4850). For this price and size, it’s really a good deal. Anyone who wants a higher quality IPS/VA is looking at $800+. This monitor was very decent at $500, it’s great for under $400.

Amazon has reduced the price of the new model: Navigon 7200T to $299. Look to the right where it says more buying choices and click the Amazon link to add to cart to see the price, not the Tiger Direct link.

There was a $50 rebate originally scheduled to end Nov 29, but they ended it early due to the price drop. However, the Rebate form is still there and it still has the orignial dates (running through Nov 29). Maybe the two are combinable?
